Why We Mulch?
Mulch is beneficial for the overall health and appearance of your landscape. Mulch protects the soil from drying out and has been shown to reduce moisture loss by as much as 20% during the summer. It keeps the soil in your beds moist, cool, and shaded, which helps to control the growth of weeds and undesirable grasses which grow better in hot and dry weather. Mulch also keeps the roots of your plantings cool which encourages them to grow even when the temperature is very hot. In addition to its usefulness, mulch also helps your beds to stand out visually from the rest of the landscape. A properly mulched and edges bed looks very neat and attractive.
